Suffolk Festival Newsletter Summer 2021

Dear Friends and Supporters of the Suffolk Festival,

The Suffolk Festival website is LIVE! In case you missed the last newsletter, we are looking forward to seeing and hearing you perform later this year and early next year, too. We are so excited that we shall be able to hold some live classes and we hope that those of you who are not able to perform live will enter the virtual classes.

We know that you have missed the opportunity to perform, and we are delighted that entries have already started to come in. If you are anxious, rest assured that we shall be ensuring the venues meet Covid regulations, with restricted numbers of audience members and extra cleaning.

We are sorry that dancers must wait a little longer than usual for their classes, but hope the delay means there will be fewer restrictions. We look forward to seeing you in the spring of 2022.

NEW for this festival is the Chorister Class. A day of solo sacred songs, followed by a joint Evensong. This should be a really exciting event for choristers and aspiring choristers too.

If you haven’t entered before, come and find out why we are called ‘the friendly festival’. Music festivals are ideal ways to gain experience performing and we really try to make your visit relaxed and enjoyable. We think we are pretty good at creating an informal atmosphere so that everyone can perform at their best. You may even win a cash prize!

We hope we have made the entry process as easy as possible but if you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch on

We are so looking forward to seeing you soon.

Best wishes,

Angela Chillingworth

Chair of Suffolk Festival
